The FR ROADSTER is not a toy, is a unique car because its size, absolute realism, quality and design, that transports us to a golden era, the sixties.
The FR ROADSTER in numbers is awesome: years of painstaking development; more than 4500 engineering hours; 1000 drawings; 80 templates, dies, jigs and manufacturing devices; more than 1000 components; 1000 feet of electrical wires; just to give the amazed observer a small idea of the level of this product that make us so proud.

Everything is in 2/3 of the real size. In the interior we can find real leather upholstery, long life aluminum or fully carpeted (optional) floor, aluminum center console (assembled with aircraft type rivets) and panels, racing type steering wheel with aluminum hub, adjustable seats and chromed plated racing- type pedals. Every structural component, the suspensions, the brake system, the steering mechanism, the safety devices, even the wheels and “knock-offs”, have been specially designed and built in our company. All the relationships such as: tire to body, wheelbase, track, ground clearance, etc., are meticulously respected.
Since large batteries are included in the FR ROADSTER-E (electric) as a major component, special care was taken in the weight distribution in order to maintain these heavy items close to the center of the vehicle making it more adaptable to directional changes.

BODY
Interior panels and supporting frame creates a unique structure that supports the unstressed outer shell of the car. Because it carries no loads, the hand-laid fiberglass body will remain straight and stress-crack-free for many years.
The painting process begins with an adhesion promoter coating for superior durability, then a layer of automotive exterior paint is applied and finally a protective clearcoat adds a high gloss finish.
CHASSIS
The narrow ladder frame type was adopted due to the low profile, the chassis tubular design means greater dimensional strength with less weight.
All the body supports are integrated into the basic configuration, as well as the strong roll bar, and the suspension pickup points are the basis of the chassis design. The finished subassembly is then painted with a rust retardant coating.

FRONT SUSPENSION
The FR ROADSTER uses a racing-type independent front suspension with dual tubular V-arms and springs and shock absorbers configuration, in order to obtain a smooth and trouble free ride. It was adopted to reproduce the racing design criteria to improve stability and to keep the wheels constantly perpendicular to the surface no matter the driving conditions.

REAR SUSPENSION
To smooth out the roughest terrain the FR ROADSTER design adopts a rugged rear axle differential with spring and shock absorbers configuration, linked to the chassis by two sets of double horizontal arms and one Panhard bar.

STEERING AND BRAKES
The FR ROADSTER uses a highly responsive rack and pinion steering system with cardanic transmission for maximum precision and safety, with reduced maintenance and very long life. The steering geometry is designed with the contact-patch center slightly outside the axis of the kingpin to improve handling.
The braking system consists of a dual rear wheel hydraulic drum brake arrangement that provides great stopping power with minimum effort. There is also a hand lever for parking brake with throttle locking electric switch.
POWER PLANT
The FR ROADSTER-E (from electric) is equipped with an advanced, 36 volts copper wound, DC electric motor with a power output of 2.7 hp. Together with the proper reduction gear train and the differential, the complete assembly provides good acceleration and a limited top speed of 15 mph. (aprox.). The long life maintenance free (optional) batteries provide an excellent operating range, and with the solid state speed control, many years of safe and trouble free operation are assured.
RANGE
The car range it's about 16 miles, depending on the type of use (continuous or not) , and whether you have lights turn on or off when driving.
WHEELS AND TIRES
We are very proud of the absolute realism of our car. Only to mention that we have created a set of 10”authentic pin-drive hand molded cast aluminum wheels, with true “knock off” single stainless steel nut where the rear wheel is wider than the front, that captures all the richness of this style. The tires are inflatable long life, heavy duty 20.5x8.0x10.

INSTRUMENT PANEL AND LIGHTS
Headlights, break lights, directional lights and flashers are standard in this car. Another important detail to complement the absolute realism of the FR ROADSTER-E is the instrument panel. It is composed of a tachometer, voltmeter, hourmeter and a fuel level indicator, all of them real working instruments. In the case of the fuel gauge it truly monitors the condition of the batteries, when it shows empty tank the batteries have to be charged. The hourmeter works like an odometer, totaling the running hours since it is activated when you step on the throttle with the contact key in “on” and in D drive, or R reverse position of the shifter.
The panel also includes the ignition key, position and headlights switches, flashers switch, and monitoring and warning lights.
